"If you didn't see The Kinsey Sicks on Friday night, you missed one hell of a show. The four drag divas knocked Williamstown off its feet... The beauty of The Kinsey Sicks's show was that it was much more than a concert... Clearly, [the performers] were enjoying themselves, and their enjoyment spread through the audience like smiles across faces... The presence of a group like The Kinsey Sicks on campus is a tribute to the student body's diversity. Even older members of the community flocked to the event... The increasing acceptance of queer culture in Williamstown can be greatly attributed to the appearance of groups like The Kinsey Sicks."
~ The Williams Record "Unlike other drag groups, The Kinsey Sicks can really sing - and they do, beautifully. They create charming harmonies, and never lip-synch. Unlike others, their material is intelligent, very funny, and also very Jewish."
~ Ha'aretz (Israel) "Pushing the politically correct envelope was never as much fun as it was during America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, the Kinsey Sicks. It is an impressive act with great singing, hilarious dialogue . . . and a heart-felt message that shines through the crazy antics."
~ The Bucknellian "These gals can sing! Once you get used to four singing drag queens, the music blows you away. The Kinsey Sicks manage to put on quite a show.... Perfect harmony ... a spirited, crowd-cheering close."
~ Washington Post Your show was amazing. I don't think you have any idea what kind of impact you made on this campus. We had no idea that we would have such a huge turnout, but it brought the campus and the gay community alive. This will allow us to have more success with subsequent events and programs. The campus has been buzzing about the show... Some of these people I didn't expect to be as tolerant or as accepting as they were... And on top of all of this, you made the entire campus laugh! Thank you so much, keep doing what you're doing, it definitely makes a difference and it certainly made a difference for this small college in a small town in New Hampshire and I think I speak for the entire campus when I say you guys are wonderful, and THANK YOU SO MUCH!
~ Student Organizer at Colby-Sawyer College Both NACA and APCA had very well run, smooth, entertaining national conventions this spring (2004). The showcase folks will never forget Kinsey Sicks/Dragapella. You just had to see/experience it to believe it was happening on the NACA stage. I was shocked, I was laughing, I was ecstatic, I was so glad they were there. Cincinatti would not have been the same without the off-Broadway cast of "Dragapella" on that closing night. Having 2 of the guys from "Whose Line is it , Anyway?" at the beginning and the drag queens at the end, the Cincinnati experience was bookcased w/ 2 very memorable performances.
~ "Boyd's Best Bets", by Boyd Jones, Campus Programs Director, Winthrop University The show was awesome! A sold out house and two standing ovations! That's what makes all the work worthwhile. The reaction from the audience was overwhelming. Everyone in the house, myself included, was laughing throughout the performance. The guys are wonderful to work with. From the moment we picked them up at the airport, right through until we took them back, they were the most upbeat and professional performers that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. The guys delivered the most amazing show I've seen in some time. They spent even more time after the show with their new fans who were lined up for the chance to meet them. The guys gladly stayed until the last fan had the autograph and picture they wanted. That kind of attention to your audience builds loyal fans. Having the Kinsey Sicks as part of our Homecoming festivities was the perfect choice for us.
~ Director of Student Activities, University of West Florida, Pensacola It was a HUGE success and I don't think that I've ever had as much fun with four strangers in my whole life.
